A short train indeed! 66175 is in charge of just one loaded 'Salmon' bogie flat carrying rail sections southwards at 14.28, 10 minutes behind a southbound coal train. This is the 6K05 12.18 Carlisle Yard to Crewe Basford Hall, a regular runner on the S&C. The train length can vary of course, and even be a light engine if there is no traffic at all! I like this shot, the diminuntive train surrounded by limestone outcrops and dry stone walls, all on a lovely spring day.
