Standing on the north end of the up platform, I'm looking at 47228 as it arrives at Appleby on the 15.55 Leeds to Carlisle service. A couple of other photographers seem keen to grab a photo of this train. Like me, they were probably wondering if it would be one of the last trains they would see working on this route!
