11th May 1990

Having seen others take photographs from this position, of a north-bound train approaching Ribblehead Viaduct, high up on the embankment north of the station, I thought I would try too. Using colour slide film on a grim and dull day such as this seems pointless, so turning it into a black and white image gives a more grittier, atmospheric look in my opinion. This unidentified Class 31 is on the 13.02 Leeds to Carlisle, with four Mark Is in tow.
