Class 27 no. 27058 is ready for the final stages of dismantling. Vic Berry's obviously understood the value in flame cut number panels to keen railfans (including me!) so saved each one for resale later. C319 is a 3-car Derby Suburban Class 116 set, once based in Devon: it was known to work local services around Exeter, including to my home town of Axminster on the evening Exeter to Axminster local. But latterly it was Cardiff-based and would have worked up the valley branch lines. Now it had reached this cul-du-sac, with no escape!
