Gutted like a fish! The bodyside of this driving trailer from Class 501 EMU no. 501156 has been peeled back to give access to the interior and soon the rest will be cut up. This class of 57 units were built at Eastleigh 1957-58. They operated on the London Midland North London suburban lines using 630vDV, picked up from the third rail. Withdrawal came in 1985 when Class 313 AC EMUs took over.
