(2) Shanklin station, platform 1 - the only platform! Until 1967 the route continued from here to Wroxall and Ventnor, but now this is the southern terminus of the Island Line. Class 483 no. (483)004 has arrived at 15.13 with the 14.50 Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin service. Once the passengers have de-trained, and the new passengers boarded (including me!) the unit will form the 15.18 return to Ryde Pier Head.
