13th March 1997 - Warrington, Cheshire
A bit on an unusual view of an approaching ballast train from Walton or Arpley Yard. It pulled onto the up mainline and then switches across to the northbound route and powered through the station. Traction was "Dutch"-liveried Class 37 no. 37141 hauling a string of "Seacow" ballast hoppers. Looking down through Bank Quay station reveals passengers patiently waiting for their London train.
