Emerging from under the WCML at 13.50, Transrail-liveried 56022 has a string of empty HAA MGR coal hoppers from Fiddlers Ferry Power Station in tow. The train will run in to Latchford sidings to allow the loco to run around, before heading off into Arpley yard. Although at the time I did not know where the train was destined an old "Freightmaster" book suggests that at the time much coal for Fiddlers Ferry was being sourced from Ayr Yard, Scotland, as well as Thoresby colliery in the East Midlands, and possibly Gladstone Docks.
