I'm more familiar with the Bank Quay station, dominated as it is by the large Lever Brothers manufacturing plant. There was always a strong smell of washing detergent around the station! Trains to and from Fiddlers Ferry power station have to reverse in the lower sidings at Latchford and Arpley yard used to generate a lot of freight traffic. There were always lots of photographic opportunities here.
