Seemingly emerging from within the swaying corn, at 17.42 Freightliner Class 66 no. 66589 hauls the 4M99 17.04 Southampton Millbrook to Trafford Park Freightliner service past my spot in a field just south of Micheldever station.

There are few opportunities to photograph trains on this section of the Southampton main line, it being mostly situated in inaccessible cuttings and heavily grown in by trees, so this spot was a lucky find and the time spent here was satisfyingly rewarding.
