At 14.10 150101 arrives with the 2E24 13.10 Weymouth to Gloucester service, passing the bracket signal for southbound departures to the right.
In recent years, this signal, like others in the station, replaced the old GWR lower quadrant type to the more modern upper quadrant type, albeit with some on original GWR signal posts, complete with finials. All of this was then encased with modern health and safety walkways and rails. So, although the semaphores remained, the character of the old signals has somewhat diminished. But then again, it is still nice to see traditional operations at this station, at least for now....
