I also documented the destruction of the mechanical signalling, and not just the trains themselves. So here we see the forlorn remains of the signals and gantry that once stood at the end of platform 4 and over the through lines, discarded on the platform, awaiting its fate. I remember studying these remians closely, just trying to work out how I could reover something for posterity, but clearly there was nothing I could take that would (a) be practical to carry, and (b) that would be something that I could walk out of the station with without being seen! So I just had to leave empty handed!
