Pitlochry HST 1: My first shots of a Scotrail "Inter7City" HST set and a lovely location to start. At 14.33 power car no. 43033 heads up the 1B30 12.48 Inverness to Edinburgh, with no. 43147 at the rear.
Pitlochry station was opened in 1863 along with the line by the Inverness & Perth Junction Railway. This was later amalgamated into the Highland Railway. It's a lovely building in a popular tourist town. The 1911-built signal box still remains standing disused, having closed in 2019 when signalling of this station was taken over by Stanley Junction signal box.
