South of the Nairn Viaduct at Culloden, the line passes Easter Daltullich Farm near Castletown. When I was last here in 2010 the whole line was surrounded by trees so you can imagine my surprise when I turned up this time, to see the open views. According to a local resident Network Rail cleared the trees away 2-3 years previously, and in doing so created some views of the line that had not been seen for some time. Here is 170459 heading the 1T98 08.45 Inverness to Glasgow Queen Street at 08.54.
