Owned and operated by Virgin Cross Country, but wearing BR InterCity livery, Class 47 no. 47851 accelerates out of Taunton, passing Bathpool at 12.19. This is the 1M56 08.46 Penzance to Manchester Piccadilly service, back in the day when cross country trains would have been comfortable to travel on! Just look how open and uncluttered this view is - sadly, today it is a different story....
