Taunton, Somerset

Taunton station has changed quite a bit in recent years, but it's still an interesting place to observe trains, an added bonus being the revitalised Fairwater Yard, which dispatches and receives a number of Network Rail-related trains every 24 hours. I have in my slide collection some early images of the station, including locos stabled in the down bay, and loco hauled trains working local services to Bristol from the up bay: I must dig them out sometime....
