The Brighton train! This was a favourite on Saturdays, as it would often produce a Hither Green 33, or even a "Slim Jim" Class 33/2, or two, if you were lucky. I must have taken the train from home up to Yeovil, and then returned later, just for something to do. Here are 33020 & 33042 waiting to leave on the 10.45 Penzance to Brighton on a crisp winter's afternoon. If I recall correctly I was testing out my new tripod, and that will be me casting his shadow across the platform! I don't know who the guy at the end of the platform is, but like me, he was a keen enthusiast too. The old Junction signal box is just glimpsed in the distance, demolished in 2010,
