12th April 2000

An interesting view of Arpley shed, and Arpley Yard beyond. The locomotive present at the time were Class 66s nos. 66204 and 66151, plus Class 56 no. 56051 behind. Right in front of me is Class 37 no. 37883. Various wagons are scattered around, including two HAA coal hopper and a loaded OTA timer carrier. I am assuming that they are crippled and need of attention from the wagon shops.
Of the locos in view here, 56051 survived and is on the books of Colas Rail, 66204 was sent to France, and 37883 was sent to Spain, where it was cut up in 2011.
