Sixty-Six Symmetry. Looking over the parapet of the concrete footbridge and down onto the cab of DB/EWS Class 66 no. 66230 at 10.20. This unusual view of the loco shut down and stabled gives an uncommon view. Track replacement near Colhayne Farm over the weekend has brought a number of engineering trains to the line, including some Freightliner traction: very unusual for this route. The loco arrived the previous night with a rail train as the 6N02 21.11 (10th May) Eastleigh East Yard to Axminster. Further along the line behind the loco there is a temporary crossing to allow track plant to access the line.
