WINTER STEAM GALA 2023
Ex-BR GWR "Manor" 2-6-0 no. 7820 "Dinmore Manor" arrives at Buckfastleigh at 15.44 on the 14.55 Totnes Riverside to Buckfastleigh train, 20 minutes late. Ex-BR as in fact this loco was the first of the last of ten "Manors" built after the war in 1950, so a GWR engine built by British Railways! It is on loan from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, used on the "Polar Express" trains before Christmas, and will retur to the Cotswolds shortly, so a rare chance for visitors to ride behind it on an "ordinary" train!
