Arriving at Staverton at 11.39, with diesel gala service 2B08 11.25 Totnes to Buckfastleigh, is Class 37 no. 6975 (TOPS no. 37275). It's observed just passing a somewhat derelict Fowler 0-4-0 diesel shunter, stabled at the end of a siding alongside the running line. The 37, in contrast, is in immaculate condition.
