South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh to Totnes, Devon

This line, once known as the Dart Valley Railway, has developed into one of the UK's premier heritage railways, but it is only a few miles long, and maintains its GWR branch line ambience. It's a short drive for me to visit, and easy to get to, just being off the A38 "Devon Expressway", although this road's presence is also the reason why the line does not extend to its proper terminus at Ashburton, the road severing the right-of-way.
