There were three Class 37s stabled at the depot in Fort William at the time of my visit. At 14.37 here is West Coast Railway Class 37/5 no. 37516 "Loch Laiden" awaiting its next duty. With plenty of scorching sun and long dry days during may and June these locos will be called on to stand in for steam operation, reducing the fire risk.
