(2) Maude at Glenfinnan. Ex-NBR no. 673 "Maude" stands at Glenfinnan with the 11.10 Fort William to Mallaig service, waiting for the road to be given. A surprise encounter but one qucikly recorded on film from the vestibule of the Mark One coach on the 12.20 Mallaig to Fort William service on which I was travelling, hauled by Class 37 no. 37043 "Loch Lomond". The 0-6-0 tender loco had a short time on the Mallaig extension and I am not too sure how successful her stay on the line was, with reports of numerous lineside fires. Today (2021) the loco is on display at the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway awaiting a return to steam one day.
