West Highland Line & Mallaig Extension

This line needs no introduction, and although it is as popular today as it ever was, I am so glad I witnessed "proper" trains before "Sprinterisation" in 1988. I have visited and travelled this line a number of times over the years, and have seen the changes. But looking back at some of my early pictures, it brings back happy memories. In the leading Mark I coach, with a 37/0 up front, watching the mountains and lochs passing by cannot be beaten!
