Class 56 no. 56098 was one of the few locos of this type in preservation at the time, but would eventually be returned to main line use for a short while before being picked up by GB Railfreight for their Class 69 re-engineering programme. For now it is stabled here at Pitsford station, in relative tranquillity, with a short rake of rolling stock, looking smart in a fresh coat of BR large-logo grey Railfreight livery.
