Northampton & Lamport Railways (& Brampton Valley Way), Northamptonshire

The Brampton Valley Way is a public-accessed footpath and cycle track based on the former main line between Northampton and Market Harborough. Closed as late as 1981, latterly in use as a freight-only route, the heritage railway is based around the station at Pitsford & Brampton. It's a lovely rural location and in fact cycling the route north from Northampton to Market Harborough and back is a very pleasant way to spend your day.
