The vegetation has bene cut back at Bathpool, no doubt at the request of GWR (they don't want their lovely IETs scratched, thank you!). On fact, cutting was ongoing on the northern side of the bridge - a veritable jungle was growing between the permanent way and the bank of the Rover Tone.
