Arkansas & Missouri #22 is an Alco RS-1 B-B road switcher, and until its retirement was the oldest working domestic road switcher in operation. It was built in 1943 and was installed with a 1,000hp Series 539T engine. It looks lovely here restored in that rich dark maroon. It carries the name "J. A. Hannold".
