Autumn seems to have arrived late this year, judging by the leaves left on the trees, but the colours are coming through. The rich colours are helped by the lovely light and enhanced by the use of Fuji Velvia film. At Duffryn, on the outskirts of Newport, Class 37/7 no. 37711 runs away light engine to Godfrey Road, Newport stabling point, at 12.55.

With less than a month left in service, 37711 (the former 37085) was withdrawn on 4th December 1999, and eventually cut up in November 2005.
