Class 58s were prevalent at Coalville throughout the 1980s, right up until the closure of the TMD in 1990. During the open day BR Railfreight unit nos. 58043, 58010 and 58007 bask in the sun, waiting for the call to duty after the bank holiday weekend.

58043 was sent to work in Spain, where it was scrapped in 2019. Nos. 58010 and 58007 linger on in store at Alizay, France, at the time of writing (2020).
