Class 59 Number One! Former Foster Yeoman 59001 "Yeoman Endeavour", complete with bell above the cab windshield, takes the station line at 11.45 with the 7Z12 WFO (Q) 10.42 Merehead Quarry to Wootton Bassett loaded stone train. The train is made up of 20 former Foster Yeoman JHA bogie stone hoppers. Many years ago the Fairwood Junction signal box was situated just behind this train, and behind which there was once a row of elm trees, all now sadly gone. Close your eyes and imagine the distant sound of the bells ringing in the 'box and the clunk of levers being pulled....
