Approaching Fairwood Junction at 11.25 EWS Class 59 no. 59201 "Vale of York" heads the 7C31 09.45 Theale to Merehead Foster Yeoman empties. That icon of Westbury, the White Horse, just gets in on the act! Despite wearing the ubiquitous EWS maroon and gold colours, the Class 59/2s did have a degree of individuality about them, carrying the cast number and nameplates inherited from previous owner and operator National Power. That is, until DB painted them and then they were all lost.
