1C84 13.06 London Paddington to Plymouth takes the Westbury Avoider, approaching Fairwood, at 14.16. I didn't record the HST power cars on this occasion. A bit too head-on, but I wanted to capture Westbury’s famous equine symbol in the shot.
The Westbury White Horse oversees scene, like it always has, since the railway was built. Although there is no certainty as to when it was first created it was likely sometime in the 18th century.
