Here's an oddity not seen around these parts anymore! Fairwood Junction is in the distance as First Great Western "Adelante" Class 180 no. 180108 approaches on the station line at 13.00. This is the 11.55 Exeter St. Davids to London Paddington.

The Class 180s' time on the Western was limited, and nowadays the East Coast Main Line is more to their liking. The avoiding line can be seen branching away to the left, a view likely now obscured by vegetation growth.
