Class 50 no. 50023 "Howe" was the first of the fleet to receive the British Rail "large logo" livery. Here it stands, ready to depart with the 11.38 Plymouth to Manchester Piccadilly service, which it probably work through to Birmingham New Street. It looks like it was a nice and bright December day.
