Having driven over the Tamar Bridge many, many times over the years, and having enjoyed the spectacular view of the Royal Albert Railway Bridge, it is quite remarkable that until this day I had never taken a photograph of trains crossing here. So righting that wrong my first train is First Great Western Railway's Class 150 unit no. 150001 heading away on the 2C43 06.24 Bristol Parkway to Penzance at 09.27 on a beautiful spring morning.
The train is on one of the ten spans on the Saltash side that connect the Royal Albert bridge with Cornwall. The view through the zoom lens accentuates the hilly nature of Saltash, with houses forming the backdrop all the way up.
