Standish Junction is well worth a visit, and on this first occasion there was evidence of lineside clearance work having recently been undertaken, which means that photography here is certainly easier than it might have once been. A surprising visitor at 12.52 is West Coast Railway 47854 "Diamond Jubilee" on what I think was a route learning trip. The 0Z47 06.10 Southall to Gloucester light engine move tip-toes across the point work off the Golden Valley Line. It would returning back to Southall later, but I'll be long gone!
