(3) A close-up view of the loader and two Britsih Steel PGA 4-wheel hoppers in attendance. These 37 ton wagons were built by Standard Wagon in 1975 and were used exclusively on trains to and from Redcar, trains originating here at Redmire, and also Hardendale, Shap, in Cumbria. They were designed to operate in a similar way to that of an HAA coal hopper, with automatic discharge through opening hopper doors under the wagon.
