This is the Highline bridge, a huge double-deck railroad bridge built by the Kansas City Terminal Railroad in 1917 to cross the Kansas River, and refurbished in 2005.The lines above come in from Omaha, and the lines below are used by the KCT to access the various yards around the city.
On the upper tracks a UP west-bound autoracks and manifest train is approaching at 12.34, headed by an almost-new SD70ACe-T4 no. 3071 and leased AC6000 no. 5007 (ex-CSX).
