At 17.44 31128 "Charybdis" brings in the 2V89 17.22 Weymouth to Bristol Temple Meads train, with Inter City-liveried 31434 on the back, and a rake of Inter City Mark IIs in between. This was an interesting period for this line, with plenty of traditional infrastructure and loco-hauled passenger trains harking back to an earlier period, but still providing a useful and comfortable service for passengers.
