Maiden Newton, Dorset
This station is particularly appealing to me, in its very attractive rural location, and many of the original structures are still intact, including the signal box, closed when the line went over to electronic token block operation in 1988. It's a relatively short drive for me to get here from home, but nowadays there is not so much to head over to see. Nevertheless, I am always glad when I am there, even if it's only to see the regular DMU service. I have taken a number of shots at this location over the years, from the 1980s to date, and hope to include some more over time.
