5th July 2017 - Snaefell Mountain Railway
No. 5 rests in the sun at Laxey, after arriving on the 15.10 from Summit, on which I travelled. It is worth the trip, and as well as enjoying stunning scenery an unobtrusive commentary is provided, pointing out various points of interest on the way, including views of the Laxey wheel, a waterwheel built high above the village in 1854 to pump water for the Great Laxey Mines complex.
