No. 2 has started its journey on the 14.40 to Laxey, but has stopped to allow the driver hop off (hope he applied the Fell brake!) to change the stub point at the end of the platform, and allow No. 1 to run in off the siding. Stub points are far from common anywhere in the British Isles. In fact, do they exist anywhere else in these isles?
