20th June 2017

In high summer the evening views of the Nairn Viaduct can be especially pleasing on the west side. This particular evening I found my spot close to the ancient Clava Cairns site and first caught the 1H15 15.07 Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness service crossing the viaduct at 18.13, operated by an unidentified Scotrail Class 170 DMU. The sun was warm, the wind light and all was well in the world in the blissful tranquillity!
