A Pathfinder Tours railtour with two Class 50s up front was definitely worth the trip out from home, although the weather was a little overcast. As I drove into Maiden Newton there was even a short rain shower, which didn't bode well, but fortunately the rain passed over and the sun did even try and pop out occasionally! But at 12.37 is was more of a watery light, but fortunately not to gloomy.
50049 "Defiance" and 50007 "Hercules" gently pull away after stopping to collect then token for the Dorchester route, with a load of 11 x BR blue Mk IID coaches in tow, on the 1Z50 05.44 East Midlands Parkway to Weymouth tour. The speed was slow and the noise, well, not very noisy, but no doubt there is a speed limit on the loop, and the condition of the bullhead track here is not too great either. Nevertheless, it was a lovely train to see. Take a look at my You Tube video at:
