It's the 2007 diesel gala and today is the first day of operation as a preserved locomotive for Class 37 no. 37216. It may have received some mechanical attention by it looks well-weathered in its faded former-Mainline blue livery. The loco had arrived at the railway just 10 days previously direct from the EMR scrapyard at Kingsbury. Here the loco is at Furnace Sidings as the power unit is started up with plenty of "clag"!
