6V70 was a train I often went out to see, regularly bringing a Class 60 to the West Country. Today, at 15.46, EWS no. 60041 passes the park at Firepool with the 08.57 Cliffe Vale to St. Blazey china clay service, made up of a variety of wagons, china clay hoppers owned by Tiphook Rail, Caib and TSL, Cargowaggons and VGA short wheelbase bogie vans, the latter for shipments of bagged china clay. The train always seemed to be varied in its make-up.
