Dublin Area Rapid Transit - commonly known as the DART - operates the commuter network north and south of Dublin, and has been steadily expanding. The original 8100/8300 Class EMUs were introduced in 1983 to 1984, and are still in service today (2025). Here is a two car unit composed of car nos. 8112+8317 leaving in the afternoon for Howth. The 81xx cars are powered, the 83xx cars unpowered.
