29th May 2023 - Creech St. Michael, Somerset.
Cromptons to the sea. The reason for my visit here today is to capture a pair of Class 33s on a railtour, this being Pathfinder Tours' "Crompton Torbay Venturer" hauled by West Coast railways nos. 33029 + 33025. A lovely Sulzer beat echoes all around as the 1Z25 07.00 Burton-on-Trent to Paignton approaches, having been checked by signals at Cogload. The trains was loaded to 10, a mixture of ex-Anglia Mark IIs and some blue/grey air-cons too. Running 20 late at this stage.
